Vin de Paille 2009
- Ref. :
Our Vin de Paille is made using three different grape varieties : Ploussard, Chardonnay & Savagnin.
The best bunches are dried for several months in a well ventilated area (in the past on beds of straw - “paille” - hence the name) and are then pressed before being aged in oak barrels for 3 years. The yield is only 17 litres of Vin de Paille for each 100 kgs of grapes.
A brilliant, rich, coppery amber colour, the wine has a bouquet of figs, apricots and currants.
