Pupillin & its surrouning area
A real gem set in the Jura wine region. It is a place where everything comes together to produce a slice of perfection. A “Village Fleuri”, having been awarded 3 flowers in the regional competition, that offers a magnificent view over the vineyards of Pupillin from its belvedere.
For 15 years we have been members of the camper-van organisation “France Passion” which has members in Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and of course, France. We offer 5 free parking places for members who wish to come and taste our Jura wines in peace and quiet.
The “Fete du Ploussard” is celebrated every other year in the village. During the 3rd weekend in August, all the winemakers in Pupillin open their cellars, and local craftsmen display their work, all in a very festive atmosphere.
There is a marked pathway through the vines which is suitable for both ramblers and mountain bikers.
On the 3rd Sunday in September the “Biou” (harvest thanksgiving) takes place. This involves a procession and Mass followed by an aperitif given by the winemakers.
